It is a prerequisite that applicants have extensive insurance understanding and working knowledge of Pensions.

We are working with an exciting Insurance firm to bolster their established Data Team. The Data Management Team plays a key role in managing the transition of new business into the operating model. This team collaborates with various stakeholders, including third-party administrators, Originations, Transitions, Pension Services, Reinsurance Operations, Finance Actuarial, and Finance Accounts, to validate and manage essential data for downstream systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyse pension scheme benefit structures.
    • Perform data reconciliation, system preparation, and calculation analysis.
    • Prepare data for updates, analyse calculation results for accuracy and consistency.
    • Identify, raise, and track data issues with third-party administrators, Pension Services, Reinsurance Operations, and Transitions.
    • Provide outputs to the New Business Modelling team for further processing.
    • Respond to queries from experience actuaries.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of underlying data within the Data Management system.
    • Identify and resolve issues with Policy Reference Numbers in intercepted movements.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Schemes (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of data migration and reconciliation techniques.
  • Familiarity with pension buy-ins and buy-outs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word (advanced level).
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, VBA, and RAFM is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Proven expertise in complex data analysis.
  • Professional experience in a corporate or consulting environment.
