Security Operations Supervisor - 45k!

Nigel Frank are delighted to be working with one of the leading Microsoft Security Specialists in the UK. We are supporting our client with several new additions to their thriving UK team. As a Microsoft Partner they invest heavily in training and provide the time and support for their employees to achieve accreditation's from Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate through to Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert.

If you have a background in security operations, deployment or software development and would like to expand your skills in a Microsoft focused security development role this could be the position for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a small team of analysts.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for incidents during your shift.
  • Review and assess incidents handled by analysts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Compile and present change recommendations to the Security Operations Manager.
  • Escalate critical or positive incidents to both customers and the Security Operations Manager.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of analysts within your team.
  • Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, working 8-hour shifts (see attached for details).

Essential Experience

  • Microsoft SC-200 certification.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
  • Strong proficiency in KQL (Kusto Query Language).
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
  • Knowledge of core information security principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or security team.
  • Experience creating and configuring analytics rules within Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Hands-on management of Microsoft Sentinel Threat Intelligence, including indicators of compromise (IOCs).
