I am recruiting on behalf of a client who is looking for a Commodities Surveillance SME. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of energy and commodities markets and hands-on experience working with commodities trading data in a surveillance context. This role will provide essential subject matter expertise in commodities trading to support our team of market abuse specialists, supporting clients with the assessment of market abuse risk and implementation and optimisation of trade surveillance technologies, to ensure compliance with Market Abuse Regulation and REMIT II.

Your Main Responsibilities will include the following.? Provide subject matter expertise on energy and commodities trading to support market abuse specialists in establishing relevant market abuse risks and robust surveillance technologies.? Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including traders, compliance officers, and IT professionals? Collaborate with Compliance and IT teams to implement remediation strategies to ensure compliance with Market Abuse Regulation, REMIT and other regulatory requirements.? Reviewing end-to-end data and process flow supporting surveillance implementations.
