Job Description

Are you a high calibre, talented, motivated and experienced A&D MANAGER / SPECIFICATION SALES PROFESSIONAL with a proven track record in promoting Premium Commercial Interior Products to Tier 1 Architect & Design practices and key stakeholder clients within the Workplace / Commercial Office sector?

If so, we are working with Award Winning, innovative Manufacturer rich in history and heritage of highly sustainable and design driven Office Furniture, Storage, Room Elements, Screens and Acoustics, Workshop Tools and Accessories and Digital Solutions. Due to strong performance, they are seeking to recruit an experienced, well connected and proven A&D MANAGER to join their already well-established team in Central London to drive profitable business growth.

Role objective:

As A&D Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with architects, designers, and key stakeholders within the industry. Your primary objective will be to drive specification and sales of office furniture products and solutions by collaborating closely with design professionals, influencing project decisions, and enhancing the Sedus brand presence in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Raise our client’s profile across the Commercial Office and Workplace market sector, expanding, growing, developing and nurturing customers through strong business development and relationship building skills, devising and executing strategic business development plans and sharing project information resulting in profitable sales and account growth.
  • Demonstrate strong and diplomatic negotiation skills.
  • Generating new business through proactiveness in the marketplace.
  • Manage and develop Key Accounts.
  • Be confident in promoting solutions on design & sustainability capabilities over and above price.
  • Networking and entertaining clients and customers.
  • Embracing the London A&D, End User, Office Fit-Out/D&B and Contractor Communities.
  • Grow sales within agreed target markets: Workplace
  • Grow and maintain robust sales pipeline.
  • Stay up to date of industry trends, competitor strategies, and market demands to drive innovation, inform product development, and refine marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues with professionalism and integrity on projects which are interconnected across the business, supporting each other and communicating proactively and effectively to ensure they are in the best position to win and secure business.
  • Be relaxed and professional when holding product forums, lunch and learns and CPD presentations and other networking, brand awareness/promotion events.
  • Complete administration on time so that accurate analysis reports can be prepared for use in measurement of progress and forward planning.

ESSENTIAL Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • To be considered Candidates MUST be used to COMMUTING INTO CENTRAL LONDON ON A REGULAR BASIS and have an excellent working knowledge of who’s who in the core target sales channels and understand the inner ways and workings of how to successfully manage a sales cycle from inception through to completion.
  • To be considered Candidates MUST have at least 5-10+ years’ experience promoting an interior design led product ideally from the office furniture, fabric or closely aligned product or service sector along with possessing an in depth understanding of sustainability, carbon neutral, building regulations and has proven success in securing new work and successfully project managing from inception through to completion.
  • To be considered Candidates MUST have a strong network of relationships, connections and complete 360 degree understanding of the A&D arena, Office End Users, Fit Out / D&B / Main / Subcontractors and any other companies that operate and have influence within the Workplace arena.
  • Experience of successfully managing long-term project selling cycles
  • Evidence of stability and success in a similar role.
  • Must have a growth mindset and must be a proactive field sales professional

  • Computer literate (to include excel)
  • Entrepreneurial profile: High motivation, dynamism and autonomy to develop your own business on the specified territory and/or targeted client base, with methodology and constant focus.
  • A natural networker, at ease with building relationships at all levels, and identifying decision makers and key stakeholders across the sales channels.
  • A driven sales professional who can grow the existing account base and confident working on new and exciting design led projects.
