Your new companyYour new job as a Senior Account Executive will be working for a specialist Independent Lloyd's Insurance Broker with offices based around the UK to include the City, Watford and the Southeast who provide unparallel services to meet client demands and needs. They have more than 100 staff across the offices and are looking to expand that number further. Due to substantial growth within the Corporate team a position for a Senior Account Executive has arisen.
Your new roleYour new role will be working as Senior Account Executive means you will be responsible for looking after an existing book as well as grow that book by upselling, cross selling and handling new business development. Your new role will be to fully support the Corporate Division through the retention and development of the Corporate Retail book and convert prospects into clients. Duties will also include assisting fellow Accounts Executives & Managers, developing relationships with key insurers and underwriters, and advise on existing products. Further duties will also include drawing on your existing network to self-generate leads including cold calling and assisting existing sales support staff, attending client meetings, developing innovative sales strategies. Your role will also include the negotiation process with Underwriters and the preparation and delivery of presentation to clients.
What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience working as a Senior Account Executive handling Commercial or Corporate clients will contribute to your success in securing this role. Sales and or Business development would be beneficial but not essential if you have the ability to upsell and cross sell.
You will have extensive technical knowledge of all classes of business, excellent spoken and written communication skills, excellent sales and negotiation skills, strong organisational skills, drive and motivation for meeting targets and the ability to gather and analyse information. You will also possess the ability to manage contracts, work to multiple priorities across a range of tasks and have business planning, risk management and budget setting methods and requirements. Ideally, you will be minimum Cert CII qualified.
