This is an Account Management role, and can be home-based, travelling to clients in the UK..

As an Account Manager you will need to grasp and communicate a technical solution with clients, work closely with the Product Development team, ensuring the product develops in line with customer expectations. You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the business in managing and growing relationships with key clients in the Social Housing sector.

Account Director / Account Manager - About the company:

My client are a high-growth technology company who supplies SaaS and IoT to numerous clients across the UK. They have created a new role for an Account Manager for their technical software product. They are a company built on a strong technical foundation.

Account Director / Manager - Key Duties:

  • Generate sales revenue by selling their product to Social Housing customers / Providers
  • Achieve sales and data revenue targets
  • Identify opportunities to expand the company’s presence within existing accounts
  • Work closely with Sales Leads, Product Development, Marketing, Customer Success to ensure the product is in line with company standards and customer expectations
  • Be first point of contact for all incoming sales enquiries
  • Look for business development opportunities through networking within the existing accounts
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements and try to get customers to increase expenditure
  • Update management with account performance metrics, including client satisfaction, risks, renewals, and revenue growth
  • Travel to new and existing customers predominantly based in a certain region within the UK.

Account Director / Manager - Skills required for the role:

  • Strong requirement for a background selling within the Social Housing Sector (Housing Associations/ Local Authorities)
  • Strong interest in technology
  • Proven experience of managing large / complex accounts and achieving sales targets
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Willingness to keep abreast of emerging technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client facing skills
  • Ability to work remotely from home and as part of a team with initiative and drive to succeed
  • Strong customer service ethos
  • Ability to communicate at all levels - commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure, prioritising effectively and meet demanding deadlines

The role will give you a lot of autonomy to implement your own selling ideas for their Product Suite and really help the company make their mark in this sector. You will be supported by the Product Development team, Marketing and Operations Lead, and other teams. You will be the "face of the company" and need to be able to handle this pressure and interact well with the accounts that have been allocated.

You will have regular meetings and reviews to ensure you understand the company aims and objectives for their products.

You will work with some innovative people and interact with other Managers focused with similar goals.
