So what’s the package?

£50k to £60k, maybe a little more for an outstanding candidate.

So what’s the role?

This role needs a tenacious but adaptable sales expert, capable of cold approach, networking, upselling and using data and insight. Different strategies will be needed for different prospects.

Using a consultative approach you’ll be able to position products against different opportunities. Land and expand or build more focussed relationship. This business are at the premium end of the product spectrum and value close and loyal relationships.

Experience of B2B sales and selling through channels and distributors would be a plus, as would someone who has a clear understanding of using terms with partners.

As the area lead, they aren’t putting you in a brilliant company car for no reason! Cover your patch, see your customers, meet your prospects and if required, knock a few doors! Some field experience is a plus.

As well as being an experienced sales person you’ll need to be able to demonstrate the ability to sell and present technical information within a sales scenario. Anyone who has experience selling manufacturing machinery, heavy plant, plastic manufacturing, metal working machinery or lubricants would potentially make an interesting candidate.

What isn’t negotiable is the drive and tenacity required in the role, it’s a great brand and great product, but it needs someone to manage the patch brilliantly.
