The Opportunity

The Area Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase market share and revenue across the South including London and surrounding area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electro-mechanical systems.

The Role

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Generate and follow up on high quality sales leads
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of our products at sales stage
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Support customer event arrangement and delivery
  • Identify and communicate new product potential for development by Product team
  • Understand legislation and regulation changes to enable sales promotions and targeted product placements
  • Develop opportunity for commercial terms agreement in securing long term, mutually beneficial business

Key Skills:

  • A broad understanding of electro-mechanical systems including product specifications, installation processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong relationship skills, including prospecting, lead generation, deals. Understanding
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to customers with varying levels of technical knowledge. This includes both verbal and written communication
  • The ability to analyse market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to make informed decisions and develop effective sales strategies
  • The ability to adapt to changing market conditions, competitor activity, customer needs, and new technologies
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and close deals
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
