We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Trading Manager to help drive the performance of our client's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the online store, including product merchandising, promotions, and sales performance. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, data analysis, and a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem.

  • Location High Wycombe or Ladbroke Grove London
  • Hybrid working -2 days onsite (Tue/Wed), flexible hours
  • Salary - £30k-£35k plus benefits
  • Must have proven experience with DTC platforms/tools (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo, Yotpo, SAP)
  • Previous experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of Trading + Operations

E-commerce Strategy Development:

    • Develop and execute the DTC trading strategy to maximize sales and profitability on the DTC platforms, alongside the DTC Manager
    • Identify key growth opportunities, including product expansions, market trends, and consumer behavior insights
    • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment with wider business goals

Site Merchandising & Optimization:

    • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Shopify stores, ensuring they are fully operational and up-to-date
    • Manage the online merchandising calendar, ensuring timely and accurate product listings, categorization, and presentation
    • Support implementation of A/B testing (alongside agency) to optimize site content, product placements, and user experience to drive conversions.
    • Work closely with the Content Team to ensure continued newness on site

Sales Performance & Reporting:

    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to enhance profitability
    • Work with Performance Marketing Manager to ensure all tracking pixels are correctly applied on site and reporting correctly
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer behavior, and key metrics to management
    • Work with Supply Chain Team to ensure product availability aligns with demand

Promotions & Campaign Management:

    • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, including sales events, discounts, and special offers, to drive revenue and customer engagement
    • Collaborate with the marketing team + external agency to ensure campaigns are effectively communicated across all channels (Paid Search, Paid Social, CRM)
    • Analyze campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for future promotions

Customer Service & Retention:

    • Manage Gorgias channel for customer service support, ensuring timely responses to customer queries
    • Work closely with Agency to implement strategies to reduce cart abandonment and increase customer lifetime value (CLTV)
    • Collaborate with 3PLs to ensure accurate and timely order shipments

Skills & Experience

    • Must have proven experience with DTC platforms/tools (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo, Yotpo, SAP)
    • Previous experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of Trading + Operations
    • Experience in eRetail/Luxury Beauty sector highly desirable
    • Experience with Google Analytics/Google Suite
    • Good understanding of web dev / HTML
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
