About the Role We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity with our prestigious cient, a multi-national commercial law firm. They are looking for a Business Development & Marketing Manager to join their Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations (LAI) practice on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Senior BD and Marketing Manager, you'll support the London LAI practice by helping partners and associates develop and implement business development and marketing plans. This role allows you to make a real difference in shaping the future of the business. You'll be welcomed into a globally diverse and friendly practice and sector marketing team dedicated to driving revenue growth, enhancing the firm's reputation, and nurturing client relationships. You'll also collaborate closely with the broader London Marketing team, including specialists in events, digital marketing, pitch support, and communications. Our team thrives on a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:Business Development:
- Assist the Senior BDM in developing and implementing BD plans aligned with the LAI strategy.
- Drive BD activities for one or more global specialisms and a sector on behalf of the practice.
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of directory and awards submissions.
- Foster collaboration with the wider firm and BDM teams across various groups, including Corporate, Financial Regulation, Technology Media & Telecommunications, Energy & Infrastructure, and Restructuring & Insolvency.
- Ensure consistency across the pitch process.
Client Relations:
- Support the practice in nurturing priority client relationships.
- Plan and facilitate the execution of BD initiatives related to client targeting.
Team Collaboration:
- Help coach and develop other members of the LAI team.
- Share experiences to drive improvements and increase efficiency.
Marketing Initiatives:
- Lead, oversee, and manage the core BDM infrastructure needed to support partners and clients.
- Assist in raising the practice's external profile through campaigns, thought leadership, PR, client and industry events, and online presence.
Ideal Candidate:
- Confident and capable of advising at the partner level.
- Experience in a similar BD and Marketing role.
- Knowledge of disputes is highly preferable.
- Based in the London office with a hybrid working model available.
