Are you a skilled business development professional with a passion for innovation, strategy and high-quality service delivery? Join our client as their Business andEnterprise Manager and play a pivotal role in driving the development, growth, and success of their enterprise activities.

THE ROLE

As the Business andEnterprise Manager, you will support the Head of Enterprise in expanding the portfolio of income-generating activities, including Executive Education programmes, bespoke short courses, and CPD.

This is a dynamic role, involving business development, financial planning and project management. You’ll develop partnerships, identify market opportunities and ensure enterprise activities meet the highest standards.

Additionally, you’ll provide strategic guidance to academic departments, oversee resource requirements and manage robust budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Development: Drive revenue growth by building relationships with external clients and identifying new market opportunities. Proactively develop leads, negotiate contracts and manage client accounts.
  • Finance & Budget Management: Prepare, forecast and manage budgets, ensuring activities run profitably and align with financial targets.
  • Planning & Project Management: Oversee the delivery of a diverse portfolio of Executive Education and short courses, ensuring seamless coordination of logistics and resources.
  • Communication: Develop proposals, write engaging content for marketing materials, and maintain accurate course information across University platforms.
  • Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance of enterprise activities, using participant feedback to enhance offerings and customer experience.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor the Enterprise Administrator, fostering a culture of excellence and career development.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You’ll be an experienced manager with a proven track record in business development and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service to high-profile clients.

  • Expertise in managing budgets and financial planning.
  • Experience in project management, particularly in externally focused initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives, academics, and international clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform market research and develop actionable insights.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in higher education or similar sectors.
  • Knowledge of Executive Education and CPD delivery.
