We are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Business Development & Marketing, this role will play a central part in developing and executing the firm's business development plans across several key practice areas including Intellectual Property, Tech, Data & Digital, Corporate & Venture Capital, and Family. This is a strategic and operational role with high visibility and interaction with partners and key stakeholders across the firm.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Business Planning and Development:

    • Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders to refine and deliver BD&M plans.
    • Drive the collation of data processes and production of insight reports, sharing information across key audiences.
    • Lead in the identification and development of key client and intermediary relationships, designing and overseeing relationship management plans.
    • Ensure high-quality delivery of all events, including post-event follow-ups and extended BD opportunities.
    • Lead the pitching process, providing insights to target and tailor each opportunity.
  • Marketing and Communications:

    • Manage the creation of marketing collateral including capability statements, brochures, E-bulletins, presentations, and other client communications.
    • Advise on and deliver optimum delivery of communications, tracking effectiveness and building solutions for performance improvements.
    • Contribute to the awards and directories process with key legal and sector-specific directories.
    • Collaborate on digital marketing and website-related topics to enhance external profile raising and positioning activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Marketing/Business Development position, ideally within a legal/professional services environment.
  • Very strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proven marketing and business development skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage discussions and meetings with partners, lawyers, and other members of the firm.
  • A sense of urgency, a flexible approach, and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Confident and proactive with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
