Role Description:Our client is a well-established Company within the Facilities Management industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to source new and organic business growth. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing Client relationships and lead generation to deliver new business growth across commercial offices.

This is a hybrid role, where you will be expected to attend 1 or 2 meetings per week at the Hub in London and attend any networking events and client meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new cleaning contracts with clients
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline and convert prospects into long-term contracts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (facilities managers, procurement heads, operations directors, etc.)
  • Leverage your network and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and build trust in services.
  • Support with contract bids, proposals, and tender submissions
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends
  • Provide insights and feedback to the leadership team to refine offerings and strategy
  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, service delivery, compliance) to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional service delivery for new clients
  • Coordinate with these teams to meet client expectations from the start of the contract.

Key Requirements:

  • Understanding of the FM sector
  • Understanding of CRM databases (this company uses Monday.com)
  • Successful record of delivering new business growth
  • Must be driven, confident, tenacious and determined
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, with an exceptional attention to detail
  • A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets is essential
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, crafting compelling proposals and pitching solutions effectively
  • A proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to work independently to drive sales
  • Tenacious and resilient in managing longer sales cycles.
