Business Development Manager - Corporate - £70,000 - £90,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a leading international law firm's Corporate and M&A practice based in London. This role offers a competitive salary and is perfect for someone looking to step up from a Senior Executive level or for an existing BD Manager seeking a new challenge.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the firm's strategic growth initiatives. You will oversee business development activities for one of the core groups within the corporate practice, working closely with partners and managing a BD Executive. Your responsibilities will include:

Duties will include

  • Partner Relationships: Develop and support partners in their personal BD activities, including monthly meetings and agenda management.
  • Client Targeting: Collaborate with partners on targeting efforts for FTSE, private, and international clients, promoting opportunities and tracking actions.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify and facilitate cross-selling opportunities across the firm.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure partners benefit from the firm's marketing ecosystem and value-added offerings.
  • Associate BD: Support senior associates in their BD activities, providing guidance and best practices.
  • Communication: Lead BD activities for one of the Corporate Groups, ensuring proactive communication and information sharing.
  • Campaigns and Content: Support the delivery and promotion of marketing campaigns, measuring and reporting on ROI.
  • Events: Lead flagship and practice-led client events, managing client lists and capturing ROI.

What's needed

  • At least 4 years of BD and Marketing experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong client relationship management skills .
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and analyse data to identify commercial BD opportunities.
  • A proactive and ambitious approach with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
