So, what will you be doing as a Business Development Manager?

  • Develop and use contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and demand changes
  • Managing a pipeline of opportunities using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Identify clear areas of potential sales growth in the UK markets utilising UM's wealth of capabilities and develop these into meaningful leads and opportunities
  • Drive sales to increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives
  • Support wider endeavours within the sales and marketing function of the business
  • Makes suggestions for new offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts.

What are we looking for in our next Business Development Manager?

  • Demonstrable and proven experience in working with Government authorities, Defence prime contractors, and military end-users alike
  • Contractual and commercial awareness, proven and demonstrable ability to win profitable business and sell systems and solutions as a Prime Contractor to the UK and international Government agencies
  • Ability to support the preparation and management of detailed technical and commercial proposals, and support negotiations at a senior level
