Business Development Manager - Fund Sales
Location: London, Hybrid
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience)

Our client is a leading investment management firm based in London, which currently seeks to recruit for an experienced Business Development Manager. Our client is a specialist investment manager with circa £5b AUM, focused on delivering long-term investments that seek consistent returns. They take a deliberately defensive approach, predominantly investing in asset-backed and income-producing investments across infrastructure, property & energy.
The Role
- As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for increasing business levels across Real Estate & Infrastructure open-ended funds, targeting Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs) and Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). You will work collaboratively with the existing business development teams, helping to strengthen relationships and drive fund sales through both existing and new intermediary partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with DFMs, IFAs, wealth managers, and investment platforms.
- Drive fund sales through direct engagement, including phone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, face-to-face meetings, and industry events.
- Host virtual and in-person presentations, providing educational content and fund-specific insights to financial professionals.
- Work closely with Business Development teams to identify and cross-sell fund opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to build brand presence and strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and Investment, to enhance client engagement and develop sales strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fund sales, ideally within the Real Estate, Infrastructure, or Alternative Investments sectors.
- Strong existing network within the DFM and IFA market.
- Knowledge of asset allocation strategies, model portfolios, and tax-efficient investment structures (e.g., ISAs, SIPPs, Trusts, and Offshore Bonds).
- Confident and articulate presenter, capable of engaging senior financial professionals.
- High level of commercial awareness and understanding of the investment landscape.
- A professional qualification such as CFA UK Level 4 IMC or Level 6 Advanced Diploma is preferred but not essential.
