About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the commercial success of our client's cutting-edge microbiome testing services. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong track record in sales and a passion for microbiome science or the biotech space to join a growing team and make a meaningful impact.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the sales and commercial strategy, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our market share in the UK and EU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company with comprehensive knowledge of our product portfolio.
  • Generate new business, establish, and maintain client relationships.
  • Achieve or exceed revenue targets as set by the Board.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer needs, and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to optimize product offerings and ensure seamless fulfillment.
  • Collect client feedback and work on continuous improvement of services.
  • Support marketing efforts, including content creation and social media campaigns.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for client management to ensure exceptional service.
  • Long-term: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team.

What We're Looking For:

  • A demonstrable track record of success in sales, preferably in a technical or biotech field but not essential.
  • Passion for microbiome science and/or biotechnology.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
