BDM Carrier Sales for a global Telecommunications company. Salary c£45K + monthly commission and benefits

Are you an accomplished Telecoms sales professional with experience in Carrier / Wholesale Sales? Are you passionate about providing excellent account management attention to your customers to ensure that they are proactively developed to their full potential? Then read on:

Our client has a new position for a Business Development Manager to join their London office in a hybrid capacity (everyone goes to the office Mondays and Thursdays to maximise collaboration with colleagues). The office is within walking distance from Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Shoreditch and Old Street stations.

You will be contacting existing and dormant accounts to sell a range of global data connectivity services spanning cloud connectivity, ethernet (DCI), SD-WAN and colocation services. Your clients will mainly be within the Middle East, Europe and US.

You will benefit from training and support, but you should have at least 2 years recent experience in some or all of the following:

  • Ethernet

  • Wavelength

  • Off net/On net

  • Connectivity

  • Liaising with cloud service providers and/or internet exchanges

  • Understanding of pricing structures and working with procurement

You should be able to confidently proactively talk to customers about a different range of products and have experience of selling solutions in an account manager or business development manager capacity.

You will join a friendly sales department where you will collaborate with procurement and your sales colleagues to assist with getting quotes from suppliers to ensure that services sold are suitable for customer requirements.

Your main method of communication will be through email, telephone, Teams and attendance at London based networking events hosted by the company.

This position has a basic salary of £40K-£45K negotiable plus 60/40% commission of the department’s gross profit sales. The company also provides various benefits including contributory pension, dental & medical insurance, flexible working hours, regular social events and more.
