The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating sales, increasing revenue and profitability for the company. The BDM must be adept at professional networking and building strong relationships, acquiring and maintaining new clients. You must be able to develop creative solutions to meet clients’ needs and potential challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain client relationships.
  • Conduct prospecting activities to generate leads through effective in-person, phone, email, social media, and other outreach methods.
  • Generate leads via professional relationships and other interactions that support business development/sales efforts.
  • Actively build and maintain a robust, accurate sales pipeline of leads/opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with our clients’ hiring managers by understanding their business and staffing needs.
  • Generate viable, quality contracts, contract to hire and direct hire orders.
  • Possess a solutions-oriented mind-set to define the best solution to deliver the expected outcome for the client and the business.
  • Manage open job orders from intake to fulfilment.
  • Guide the hiring process to meet the needs of the client while ensuring that roles are filled timely.
  • Achieve performance objectives (KPI’s) relating to activity and individual margin targets.
  • Track and complete the timely entry of all required sales activity and documentation into the ATS/CRM system while maintaining consistency and integrity of data.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to ensure effective delivery for clients’ needs.
  • Strong skills selling the value of our services and possess the ability to influence and effectively negotiate pricing.
  • Effectively prepare and deliver business presentations and proposals.
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines.
  • Performs other job duties as requested and assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant recruitment industry experience or sales experience in a service industry
  • Experienced at bringing in new business is key
  • Proven success achieving and/or exceeding performance goals.
  • Detailed, organised, and adaptable.
  • Prioritise and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications ability.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new systems.
