Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment are excited to announce that we are currently networking for a Business Development Manager to join the Team of one of our clients, one of the UK's leading multi-generational companies delivering cleaning, security and support services to customers across the UK. Due to their continued growth, they are now in a position to appoint a Business Development Manager to join their Sales and Marketing Team in London to develop and grow their client base within the region. With a large Team and an impressive customer portfolio, the London region has huge potential to expand and in order to do this, the Business Development Manager will be confident in generating new leads and guiding them through the full business development cycle. The ideal Business Development Manager will have sales experience of soft FM services within the private commercial sector, and will have a proven track record to support this. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Team dedicated to providing the best service for its customers as well as investing in their employees, while paving the way in sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on-target monthly sales in line with the strategic guidelines set out by the board

  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities from lead generation to close

  • Utilise product and sales training to maximise understanding of products, features and value propositions

  • Handle incoming new business leads

  • Create and maintain a target list of potential customers and execute a sales strategy for these contracts

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities, including leads, opportunities and client interactions through CRM system (Hubspot)

  • Actively promote the company's range of services to the target audience

  • Conduct market research and analysis

  • Carry out face-to-face proposals and presentations with potential clients

  • Be the public face of the company to all potential customers

  • Support pitches where relevant / appropriate

  • Attend industry networking events to generate new leads

Requirements:

  • Experienced business development manager with proven track record

  • Able to achieve sales targets of £1m in year one and between £1.5m and £2m in year two onwards

  • Direct sales experience of soft FM services within the private commercial sector

  • Strong understanding of the industry and London marketplace

  • Be able to bring your own network of potential contacts and clients

  • Commitment and a positive, can-do attitude

  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Self-motivated and proactive approach with ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the ability to network at a high level and build strong business relationships (internally and externally)
