Business Development Manager

Hybrid Working –  London (Minimum 2 days a week in office)

Salary £50k + car allowance + Bonus

Do you want to be a part of a team driving sales growth for a leading fresh foodservice company? Are you a tenacious and driven individual with experience in fresh foodservice sales and the ability to win profitable new business?

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to generate profitable new business opportunities with targeted new and existing customers in line with our company's growth plans. You will be integral to identifying, tendering, winning, and mobilising new customer accounts before transitioning management responsibilities to our Channel Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve budgeted revenue and gross margin targets
  • Support the Channel Sales Strategy and collaborate with senior sales teams
  • Identify and secure new customer opportunities
  • Maximise product category sales for new clients
  • Manage new business proposals and tenders
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars to network
  • Communicate the mobilisation process for new business
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support business development

About You:

  • Significant experience in fresh foodservice sales
  • Proven track record of winning new business
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and work well under pressure
  • A self-starter with a hands-on, tenacious approach
  • Excellent knowledge of the foodservice industry and sales tools
