DSV are recruiting for Business Development Manager at London ExCeL; and are looking for an individual with previous sales and business development experience to join our existing Fairs & Events product team.
The successful candidate would be responsible managing the sales and business development commercial growth for our UK business.
Reporting to the Business Development Director, the candidate’s role will cover our various products; these are: ExCeL London, Domestic strategic accounts, and international.
Profile description:
Key Tasks
Develop UK strategy for Fairs and Events business in the UK together with Business Development Director
Account manage and increase business levels for our ExCeL London partnership.
Increase commercial growth of our Domestic, strategic accounts and international business’s.
Duties / Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strong Fairs and Events UK pipeline.
Build strong relationships with customers also internal divisions.
Regular update and management of company pipeline tool
Provide Monthly reports to Sales Director, also UK management team
Develop long-term partnerships with key clients to increase customer retention, commercial activity, and loyalty.
Any other related duties / projects assigned by the Business Development Director from time to time to meet the business objectives.
Skills and Competencies
Enthusiastic people person, with proven teamwork abilities
Proven experience in sales and business development within the freight, logistics or event industry
Good knowledge of freight forwarding (air, sea, and road) and logistics solutions.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and act on market opportunities.
Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
