Business Development Manager - London based - Perm - £30-40k DOE basic + commission

A leading provider of sustainable and nationally accredited facilities management services is looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive business growth across various sectors, including commercial, retail, and estate management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within environmental services or facilities management, identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to convert prospects into business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare and present proposals and bids that showcase the company's expertise and value proposition.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably in environmental services, facilities management, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for environmental issues and sustainability.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
