We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of selling bespoke software solutions to the UK market. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales and business development activities in the UK and other European countries
- Lead generation via cold calling, event participation, and networking activities
- Presentation of expertise, technology, and products to interested prospects onsite and via web meetings
- Identification of client use cases that can benefit from the companies solutions
- Business value and gap analysis and solution design, supported by business consultants and technology professionals
- Proposal creation and contract negotiation
- Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our software offerings
- Research client needs and identify how our software solutions address them
- Achieve company and individual objectives by planning thoroughly, setting personal sales goals, analysing performance data, and making forecasts
- Develop skills continuously for effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives
About you:
- 5+ years professional selling experience, with in depth sales training
- 5+ years industry experience, specialising in software development and bespoke software services
- The ability and ambition to work autonomously in a scale-up environment
- Proven track record of closing £1m of contract value or more annually
- Understands and has delivered the entire sales process from planning to execution and closing
- Creative and solution driven to client's needs, pain points, problems and desires
- Client focused - intent on successful customer service and customer outcomes.
- A clear understanding of B2B sales
- Has worked with a CRM, sales process and sales pipeline reporting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Work effectively with the wider software delivery team, from pre sales to delivery to achieve a common goal
