About the Role of Business Development Manager

Due to growth our client is looking to recruit for a Business Development Manager to join their growing UK based sales team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales this is a New Business Sales position responsible for all new business activities and new client acquisition sales in the UK and EMEA.

As a Business Development Manager you will:

  • Join a collaborative sales team and sell a range of solutions into the Pharmaceutical and Life Science sectors including bespoke research, consulting, and event sponsorship.
  • Build new client relationships at enterprise level within Pharmaceutical Providers, Biotech Companies, CRO’s and Drug Developers
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from initial discovery call, demonstrations / sales meetings through to closing enterprise level sales with 'C’ level decision makers
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, product development, account management and customer success teams to execute sales strategy
  • Devise and execute territory and account development plans to assure sales quota achievement.

If you have experience of selling research / consulting / advisory solutions or event sponsorship into the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical / Bio Tech sectors, have a consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and would like to work for a successful scale up where you will play a vital part in their growth journey then this would be a fantastic opportunity for you!

About You:

  • Self-motivated, team player and results focused.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience of selling business intelligence / research / advisory solutions or event sponsorship into the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical / Biotech sectors
  • Good understanding of how analysis and information supports Pharmaceutical and Bio Tech business processes and decisions.
  • Degree educated.
  • Experience in presenting / closing deals with 'C’ level decision makers.
  • Excellent face to face presentation skills
  • Strong sales methodology, familiar with Challenger Sales or Miller Heiman
