Business Development Manager, permanent, Film and Video production Co, London, £40,000-£45,000 plus uncapped commission

Fast growing video publishing company with plush London and International offices is looking for a Business Development Manager. This company has an International client base and produces in excess of 400 films per year for leading brands. They also promote the advancement of global matters through their campaigns.

Reporting to the Sales Manager and working as part of a dynamic Business Development team in the office 5 days per week, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the globe through market research and networking
  • Working with and speaking to decision makers and building professional relationships
  • Closing the sale
  • Achieving sales targets monthly, quarterly, and revenue targets annually
  • Learning about the company to ensure you are a knowledgeable BDM
  • Negotiating with potential clients
  • Develop an understanding of market forces within market sectors including public and private sector pressures and general political and economic implications
  • Building a healthy pipeline to ensure you are always exceeding your targets
  • Having a professional and positive approach

Skills you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years Sales and Business Development experience
  • Preferably media and subscriptions sector experience but possibly media, events services or sponsorship sales
  • High level negotiation skills
  • Ability to think innovatively and constantly challenge - striving for commercial success at all times
  • Polished written, telephone, and face-to-face communication skills
  • A growth mindset- you're always looking to better yourself
  • An enthusiasm for media and content creation
  • Familiarity with selling to decision makers at c-suite level
  • A strong interest in news and current affairs
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up style environment
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Linked In skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal English language skills
  • Confidence and adaptability plus self-motivation and ambition to succeed
