Global events business seeks highly ambitious, results driven Business Development Manager to join their team, working across their flagship life science events portfolio.

This large-scale conference and exhibition has been running for 20+ years and attracts 2,000+ attendees from pharma, biotech, research and their solution providers each year.

Role:This Business Development opportunity is a great opportunity for an ambitious & enthusiastic individual who enjoys building business relationships with senior professionals in international corporate organisations.

The Business Development Manager will drive revenues through the sale of sponsorship packages for a high-profile international event.

  • You will be selling in a consultative & professional manner to key decision makers / C-level contacts in corporate organisations.
  • Creating intelligent, needs-based proposals for prospects.
  • You will be working with an established global brand and benefit from a strong database of existing contacts, warm leads, and the opportunity to develop your own new business.
  • A large part of the position will be to identify and capitalise on new opportunities to generate revenue at the events - identifying new occasions for sponsorship investment to take place.
  • Develop strong sector/discipline knowledge and relationships.
  • Post continually on social media, especially LinkedIn to establish yourself as an expert in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level
  • 3 years + ideally from an event sponsorship sales background
  • Any background in Life Science is highly advantageous
  • Loves knowledge and is good at research.
  • Networking and relationship skills.
  • Commercial outlook.
  • Great communication and writing skills.
  • You must be hard-working, committed, and a team player.
  • Have an interest in business and enjoy learning new information
  • Strong at initiating new business with new clients & comfortable working with new products & services.
