A progressive international law firm is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Business Development Manager to join their global team based in London.

The firm’s marketing and business development function is located in major cities across EMEA, Asia Pacific and the US. They execute the firm's strategy and drive profitable growth with a specific focus on chosen industries, markets and clients. The team focuses on industry solutions and client experience, driving campaigns, leveraging client insights and managing strategic initiatives to service their clients’ needs. The successful applicant will be a key member of the marketing and business development team, responsible for supporting industry collaboration, growth and client engagement. Reporting into the Industry Senior Manager, you will work closely with the Energy Industry stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the industry strategy across EMEA. The Business Development Manager will utilise market and client insights to keep up to date with current and emerging issues impacting the Energy Industry. You will enjoy a broad role with responsibilities across the entire BD and marketing mix, including developing and executing client account plans and cultivating a small targeted community of regional client accounts, supporting all relevant major client opportunities, including bids and proposals and growth initiatives. The role holder will also be responsible for developing and implementing integrated revenue generating and profile raising campaigns and thought leadership.

Commercially astute with an innovative mind-set, the ideal candidate will have significant front line business development experience in either a law firm, industry or professional services environment, to include demonstrable success working in a client facing capacity and client listening experience. Good people management skills, particularly experience in engaging with partners and senior management and in coaching teams is necessary, as is the ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Previous Energy experience will also be highly advantageous.
