Business Development Manager Healthcare

Location - London and SouthEast (Homebased)

My client is a leading provider of financial services solutions to the Healthcare industry and is widely regarded as the market leader in their specific industry field. In line with their ambitious growth plans for 2024, they now seek to appoint a talented and highly motivated business development manager to manage the Greater London and South East territory.

This interesting and challenging field-based role is diverse and broad but essentially entails attending daily sales appointments with healthcare practices in the assigned territory and you will be charged with directly managing a diverse portfolio of existing long-standing practice accounts as well as developing new relationships with practice owners and principals who they do not currently service.

This is a highly consultative business development role so you will be expected to consult deeply with senior stakeholders within individual practices and from groups to fully ascertain requirements and tailor solutions to meet these needs. This role comes with autonomy and the freedom to make sound commercial choices and you will very much be given the chance to shape the commercial strategy for your assigned geographical area.

Key responsibilities for the post include:

  • Manage the relationship with both existing client accounts and potential new partner practices
  • Develop new business opportunities with target practices & groups
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (sales & marketing functions) to ensure the correct approach to the market across your assigned geographical area
  • Work closely with third-party agents who help deliver the solution for practice partner accounts

Candidates with the following experience and skillset are invited to apply:

  • Commercial field-based sales or business development experience - 4 years plus
  • Direct experience of either working in or selling into, the dental or healthcare industry - desired but not essential
  • Direct experience of introducing a financial services solution to businesses - desired but not essential
  • Sound commercial acumen and demonstratable experience in managing a portfolio of client accounts
  • Confident, highly articulate and numerically proficient
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong networking skills
  • Flexible with the ability to travel
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • A UK driver's licence

What’s on offer?

An excellent basic salary of up to £45,000 - 50,000 per annum is on offer supplemented by an excellent Bonus (40% of basic) and a luxury company Car.
