About the role

This is an online category development management role where you will be responsible for shaping category growth across online retail customers. Working for a leading FMCG organisation with a significant market share in the categories it represents. The organisation has seen considerable growth with strong sales across all channels, successful product launches, and a strategic plan for further expansion. As part of the online category development management team, you will work closely with major UK retailers to grow the category using advanced shopper insights and strategic business planning.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • - Build and manage relationships with key online retail customers.
  • - Deliver data-driven category growth plans and insights.
  • - Lead range reviews and optimise product navigation and visibility online.
  • - Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Planning teams.
  • - Monitor category performance and provide actionable insights for improvement.

 

The ideal online Category Development Manager will have experience in a similar Category Management role, particularly with a focus on online channels, and a strong understanding of the UK retail and e-commerce landscape. You will excel at building and managing customer relationships to drive category performance and have a proven track record of creating and delivering successful Category Growth Plans. Proficiency in using tools such as JDA, Nielsen, and Kantar to make data-driven decisions is essential.
