Role Overview:The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy and overseeing its execution across all revenue-generating functions. This is a senior leadership role that requires a dynamic, results-oriented executive with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, scaling business operations, and expanding market presence, especially in the technology or immersive tech sector.
As the CCO, you will oversee the sales, marketing, business development, partnerships, and customer success functions, ensuring alignment with our clients ambitious growth goals. You will collaborate closely with the executive team, guiding the company’s efforts to seize market opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and enhance brand recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and growth objectives.
- Identify and assess new market opportunities, verticals, and revenue streams in the global VR and immersive tech sectors.
- Lead a high-performing team across sales, marketing, business development, and customer success functions to drive growth and profitability.
- Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue generation through the creation of strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, channel development, and new business acquisitions.
- Establish and track performance metrics to monitor and optimize revenue and margin growth.
- Define pricing strategies, sales forecasts, and pipeline management to ensure sustainable, scalable revenue growth.
- Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans, positioning our client as a market leader in the VR space.
- Oversee the launch of new products, services, and immersive experiences, ensuring effective market penetration and customer adoption.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performance commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for sales, marketing, and business development teams to achieve set goals.
- Customer and Market Insight:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments in the VR and immersive technology sectors.
- Drive customer-centric approaches, ensuring product-market fit and fostering long-term customer loyalty.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, CTO, and other executive leaders to ensure alignment on strategic direction, operational execution, and innovation priorities.
- Work in tandem with the product and technology teams to ensure commercial and customer needs are integrated into product development.
- Brand and Market Leadership:
- Build and reinforce our clients position as an industry leader and visionary in the VR space through targeted branding, PR, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Represent the company at key industry events, speaking engagements, and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior commercial leadership role, with a track record of driving revenue growth, scaling operations, and leading high-performing teams in technology, immersive tech, or a related sector.
- Extensive experience in sales, marketing, business development, and partnerships in a high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated success in scaling commercial operations, managing large and complex client relationships, and overseeing go-to-market strategies for innovative technology products.
- Deep understanding of the VR/AR, tech, or gaming industries is a strong plus.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
