As technical marketing content manager (demand creator) to support generation of promotional material you will assist the Commercial Manager working as the main bridge between the company and clients, highlighting the company’s leading R&D position in the market, enabling the company to enter the UK market with new products, in crop protection.

As technical marketing content manager you will be vital in supporting sales of the existing and new products through demand creation efforts, including providing technical support to our customers and farmers.

Home based REMOTE - variable locations

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and provide technical-sales support and demand creation material for targeted farmers, dealers, advisors and critical stakeholders in the UK.
  • Identify gaps in current technical back-up materials and propose solutions which can be presented to relevant business influencers, giving confidence for increased product use in the UK and IE markets.
  • In collaboration with the sales and marketing teams, provide technical supporting information for UK and IE products. Create materials needed to provide information and confidence in company product offering, including identifying materials needed to deliver growth for the new product launches such as fungicides.
  • Evaluate market and industry trends, competitors, sales programs, and territory coverage and identify areas for both strategic and opportunistic growth, as well emerging challenges, and propose actionable ideas to take advantage of those opportunities and avoid and mitigate those threats.
  • Feedback to the company field data and insight leading to new products and improvements to existing products.
  • Support the Commercial Manager to deliver sales priorities in the territory.
  • Provide technical support for key projects and products (online and in the field) on crops in the Working knowledge of other row and specialty crops is an asset, as it will support products in our portfolio range.
  • Identify influential external stakeholders (advisers, key growers, seed companies) and establish positive relationships.
  • Carry out demand creation support activities (farmer and retailer meetings, on-farm support, technical support, pre-launch and launch trial management etc.) in collaboration with other stakeholders (Operational Marketing)
  • Support operational marketing in the execution of planned activities in the region.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor or higher degree in agriculture or a related field such as Soil Biology, Mycology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Horticulture.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in sales / marketing BD - connected with Crop Protection
  • Knowledge of cereals beneficial
  • Knowledge of the Crop Protection industry and a good understanding of plant physiology, crop production, crop protection, plant nutrition and soil health.
  • Knowledge of Biorationals, Biostimulants and Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) beneficial
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to understand technical information. Collaborative
  • Ability to travel as required with the role. - Approx. 35% of the time UK/ Ireland (+ abroad 2/3 times a yr)
