FIND are currently working with the leading Technology Skills Training Provider in the UK to recruit a Director of Account Management.

In this role, you will lead a team of 8+ Account Directors who are running the strategic client portfolio. This isn’t a new-business team, but each AD is targeted on account growth.

The clients are generally private sector, FTSE250 organisations.

Location: Home based

Salary: £85,000 - £110,000 + Bonus Role Accountabilities:Account Management and Growth

  • Design and execute strategies to grow existing accounts, identifying new opportunities to expand service offerings within existing clients.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across accounts to increase learner participation on programs.
  • Leverage these relationships to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within accounts.
  • Lead major bid processes and contract negotiations when necessary.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of Account Directors (ADs), supporting them in the strategic growth of their accounts to achieve revenue targets.
  • Oversee a team of Client Success Managers (CSMs), ensuring they deliver exceptional account management, client reporting, and successfully manage relationships to meet learner sales targets.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture within the sales teams, promoting motivation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring a high-performing team.

Performance Management

  • Implement processes and systems to track account health, identifying potential risks or growth opportunities.
  • Regularly review account performance and provide strategic guidance to enhance results.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the escalation point for critical client issues and concerns.
  • Participate in high-level client meetings and presentations to strengthen key relationships and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, marketing) to ensure client needs are fully addressed and exceeded.

Candidate Specification:

  • You will have a deep understanding of the apprenticeship sector and have led a team of 8+ in Sales/Account Growth
  • You will have worked in the FTSE/Enterprise market - not the SME space.
  • Candidates will have demonstratable experience influencing buying at C-Level
  • Experience in the Technology Training market would be advantageous - not essential
