Job Title: European Car Fleet Manager (Contractor / Temp to Perm)

Work Location - London - Hybrid

Location: Europe

Position Overview: This role involves strategic planning and co-ordination across the company's business units and functional owners for the effective cost and operational management of the company's pan-European car fleet. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Pan-European car fleet management, strong leadership skills, and an understanding of Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical sectors. This position has the potential to convert to a permanent role based on the successes achieved over the next 9 months.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement car fleet management strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Policy Development & Compliance: Ensure all car fleet operations adhere to company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization. Develop and maintain policies to meet ongoing strategic objectives.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with strategic external vendors (lease providers and car manufacturers).
- Compliance and Efficiency: Work with in-country car fleet managers to drive compliance to preferred suppliers and develop process and systems efficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across the companys functions and divisions to support the companys EV strategy and drive the companys ESG commitments.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the fleet budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize car fleet management software to track and analyze fleet performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Qualifications & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of car fleet management software and telematics systems.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of European transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Previous Experience Levels:
- Proven track record of managing fleet operations at a European regional level.
- Experience in developing and implementing fleet management strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
