Our client is an ambitious, world leading, highly professional business that specialist in the production of B2B Conferences & Events. They specialise in the research, creation, and delivery of events in a variety of sectors including Security, Defence, Energy, Pharma, and Utilities.

The successful Marketing Manager will join an exciting and diverse marketing team. You’ll have a fantastic opportunity to make and impact on both the business and ongoing team growth. This is an integral position within the business, whereby you’ll work closely with the Marketing Director to transform the marketing vision and goals, into high impact, successful campaigns that are delivered by a team of Marketers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering collaboration and a culture of excellence.
  • Empower and train an ambitious team of Marketers by championing continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure effective implementation of marketing plans, maintain cross-team alignment and standardise best practices.
  • Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring campaigns are cost-effective and deliver measurable ROI.
  • Measure and communicate marketing campaign results, continually optimising for efficiency and scale, and seek to recommend improvements and generate new best practices through experimental efforts.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with the company’s overarching business objectives to drive growth and deliver best-in-class marketing through evaluation, solutions, implementations and ongoing optimisation.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify demand, risk, competition, and growth opportunities.
  • Full-funnel focus: Oversee marketing efforts across all stages of the customer journey, including awareness, acquisition, activation, retention and revenue generation.
  • Drive marketing automation strategies to improve the productivity and target marketing.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate marketing initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Optimise the marketing technology stack, systems and processes, ensuring effective use and adoption.
  • Support and lead marketing initiatives and projects which align with marketing and company goals.

Additional requirements:

  • Line management experience, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop a high performing team.
  • Strong marketing skills, including familiarity with platforms such as LinkedIn, email marketing tools and delivering successful marketing strategies and campaigns which drive pipeline and secure revenue.
  • Outstanding communicator and collaborator with the ability and confidence to present to SLT.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project leadership experience.
  • Proven experience to influence and inspire at all levels with excellent relationship building skills to develop team members.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and a self-starter with vision and a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Metric-driven mindset with the ability to analyse marketing/digital data and derive actionable insights.
  • The knowledge of the B2B sales cycle and how to identify opportunities to maximise demand, pipeline, and sales acceleration.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with non-negotiable deadlines.
  • A visionary, with a creative test-and-learn mindset, continuously driving innovation and growth.

Essential skills, traits and qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience executing B2B cross-channel marketing campaigns.
  • 4+ years’ experience developing, training and managing a team.
  • Extensive experience in a conference/event marketing position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing, Communications or Advertising.
