M&E Logistics Coordinator
Contract
Central London

1st Step Solutions are looking for an experienced M&E Logistics Coordinator for a long-term contract in Central London.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with large M&E Contractors and a good knowledge of MEP and Plant Movement.

Duties:
- Planning/Programming: Site set up for labour/plant and materials; internal & external logistics routes; usage of key assets.
- Supply Chain Management: Material management; movement plans; Integrate with key Contractors re space/time management; delivery management; logistic suppliers; managing sub-contractors; record keeping; KPI's.
- Health & Safety: Adhering to safety policies; ensuring adequate safety equipment is available; creating safety manual; safety inspections; providing safety training; logistics awareness training; Manage PPE stocks; produce statements; produce risk assessments and lifting plans.
Fire: Create & maintain site emergency plan; maintain fire points and all common life saving equipment.
- Site Communication: create noticeboards, email distribution list, monitor displays; and web page; update safety performance; keep hospital data updated, communicated and routes checked; manage near miss returns.
- Signage: Organise all site signage.
- Delivery management: Provide instruction to all suppliers: manage and record all movement to & from site; plan & maximise load capacity.
- Vehicles, plant, equipment and vertical transport.
- Security: Manage resource, training, compliance.
- Workforce: Managing own team incl. disciplinary; tool box talks; competencies of team.
- Environment: Risk assessments; update Site Waste Management Plan; environmental reporting; duty of care certificates; HSE monitoring.

Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Construction Management or Logistics Function.
- Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical equipment is required using IT systems.
- CSCS card at a minimum.
- SSSTS/SMSTS.
- First Aid.
