We have partnered with a global beauty and wellness brand who have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Market & Consumer Insights Manager to join their team. This position is a fixed term contract for 3 months min. They work 3 days in the London office with 2 days remote. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

This senior position reports directly into the Marketing Director and will be responsible for insights into consumer behaviour, brand perception, and market trends. The Consumer Insights Manager will also look to improving the effectiveness of marketing strategies for a range of beauty and wellness brands with the group portfolio.

The details...Key Responsibilities

  • Lead consumer research projects using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Serve as a lead on skincare and wellness projects for global initiatives
  • Analyse consumer data, market trends, and competitors
  • Develop and present marketing reports on campaigns/initiatives at global & regional levels
  • Communicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align brand positioning with consumer expectations and market trends
  • Diagnose the performance of our brands in the market
  • Create and update dashboards and reports to track brand performance
  • Manage supplier contracts, KPIs, and ad hoc studies, including audience and market analyses
  • Support key meetings (e.g., Business Reviews, Marketing Plans, Brand Alignment)
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to integrate insights into brand objectives
  • Perform monthly diagnosis of sales performance, market trends, and business operations
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales data to track business performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and consumer behaviour to shape proactive brand strategies and conduct field visits to monitor and capture trends
  • Lead global and local insights studies to enhance company knowledge
  • Act as the primary contact for global teams and senior management on UK market analytics and insights for three product categories

Experience

  • Experience in a similar role within Marketing, Brand Management or Consumer Insights within the retail industry, especially with beauty
  • Multicategory expertise with special mention to Skincare and Wellness know-how
  • Experience with managing multiple brands/multiple projects with a keen attention to detail
  • Familiar with Own Retail and Services Insights
  • Strong proficiency in the use of analytical tools (Circana/ Nielsen or similar Sell Out data panels, Kantar
  • Proven experience with translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing senior leadership
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • English (UK Market based role) but other languages a plus
  • Self-starter able to work autonomously, driving momentum on multiple projects
  • Highly organised with prioritisation skills
  • Collaborative team player, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • At ease dealing with complexity and ambiguity
  • Sensitivity to luxury and good attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Outlook, Word, advanced Excel and PowerPoint all essential
