We currently have an exciting opportunity for German Marketing Manager in London.

Our client run many market leading business exhibitions in the learning, healthcare, technology, and veterinary sectors, with events in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia and they are looking for a German Speaking Marketing Manager. If you are a self-motivated individual who loves working alongside a great team, across the marketing mix, in a fast-paced environment where there is opportunity to grow, then this would be a great position for you.

The salary for this role is £40,000-£42,500 plus £5,000-£7,000 bonus and there is hybrid model of work.

The role:

  • Work with the Group Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Event Director, plus the wider team to develop and implement marketing strategy, positioning key messages and product strategy.
  • Execute the marketing campaign(s) and report on effectiveness and results, ensuring all elements achieve the required performance criteria.
  • Management of the creative/design process for marketing material. This includes the update and development of existing materials, plus the creation of new material in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Work with the sales team to create campaigns focused on new client growth and increased client retention. This includes messaging to drive revenue across all products, such as digital, sponsorships, and future revenue opportunities.
  • Develop strategic audience development plans and ensure marketing communications accurately reflect event positioning and key messaging. Be the lead in messaging and writing regarding our outbound reach to our customers. Good communication and writing skills are imperative.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop marketing campaigns, lead-generation strategies and compelling materials for all revenue streams across live and digital products.
  • Work in partnership with the Content Lead, develop and align the content and marketing strategy with regular checkpoints throughout the campaign
  • Collaborate with the Content Lead for the planning, delivery and execution of the event app and any virtual/hybrid proposition.
  • Ensure all relevant stakeholders have reviewed external marketing materials before signing off, including Content Leads to ensure editorial consistency of documents across show brands
  • Regularly review marketing plan, response rates/KPIs, attendee demographics, and industry-best practices to ensure marketing efforts are effective and successful, making recommendations and adjustments as appropriate.
  • Oversee and execute community-building and social media strategies that drive engagement, interaction, and brand affinity and could improve the audience experience.
  • Database management, list management, and development with the support of business intelligence and data teams.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of key marketing statistics and forecasts.
  • Manage marketing budgets and purchase orders and liaise with Finance on reporting requirements.
  • Manage PR Strategy. Additionally, work to create/manage press lists, invite press, and consistently grow and develop media relations across all channels.
  • Manage all planning and execution of the registration process for visitors
  • Responsible for the delivery of all delegate, visitor, and attendee revenue generation, plus the development of attendee/delegate pricing strategies and reporting
  • Support Group Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Event Director in determining and executing business development strategy.

The person:

  • Fluency in German and English
  • Ability to produce creative and well-thought-out marketing plans
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
  • Strong IT skills and systems management (e.g. experience working with CRM and CMS platforms, databases, email marketing and marketing automation software)
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and experience of ensuring compliance in relation to email marketing/data sharing with third parties
  • Able to identify search words / key terms to be used in data segmentations based on industry knowledge.
  • Experienced in devising and implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge and experience utilising digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads)
