Salary: up to £60,000 per annum, based upon experience and location

Location: London/Hybrid

Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent

 

We’re seeking an outstanding, ambitious, all-round marketer to lead and deliver a programme of marketing activity to maximise sales and engagement across a varied portfolio of 21 products and services.

 

Our client is a well-known and respected brand with over 58,000 members around the world. You may have seen the annual Stirling Prize for the UK’s best building on TV, read about its campaigning work in the national press, or seen a red signboard promoting architects on a construction site near you.

 

Working in a collaborative and supportive marketing team environment on a variety of outstanding projects with creative, passionate people you’ll share ideas, optimise and experiment with targeted marketing approaches to get the best results.

 

Your role:

You will develop a programme of product marketing activity, delivering critical marketing strategy and campaign planning for a growing and vibrant products and services portfolio of £12m in annual revenue.

 

Focused on raising awareness, developing sales leads and generating direct sales in the UK the role also provides the opportunity to contribute towards our client's exciting growth opportunities across Middle East, Africa and Asia.

 

Their product and services portfolio includes:

  • CPD – digital learning and events – enabling key audiences to meet their CPD requirements
  • Professional learning – delivering critical education to the next generation of architects
  • Publishing – providing inspirational books written by leading architects
  • RIBAJ –  flagship member magazine and owned digital media channel
  • Business services – that help architects run successful practices
  • Competitions – promoting opportunities for architects to win large-scale project commissions
  • Corporate Partnerships – sponsored solutions for a range of suppliers across the built environment

 

You will be supported by a team of three marketing executives.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop product marketing strategies and plans, set campaign objectives, monitor KPIs and manage marketing budgets
  • Create effective product propositions and messaging to appeal to a range of customer audiences, utilising all available channels
  • Report and advise on marketing activity and outcomes using measurement tools including Google Analytics, making recommendations for change and improvement. Campaign objectives may include product sales, increasing engagement, driving event and course registrations and lead generation for sales teams to ensure business objectives and revenue targets are met
  • Oversee the tactical delivery of the marketing programme, working closely with your marketing executives, product owners, internal teams (including digital marketing, content, communications, sales) and stakeholders across the organisation. You will also work with external suppliers and agencies (including design, print, PR and digital advertising (PPC and paid social media)

 

 

About you:

We seek an experienced and enthusiastic marketer with creative flair and demonstrable experience utilising the full marketing mix.

 

You must have (essential):

  • Significant experience in product marketing with an excellent understanding of marketing concepts and best practice
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing, campaign planning and tactical delivery techniques
  • Significant experience of digital marketing, including email, social media, PPC and display advertising, website and digital platform development and event marketing
  • Experience of managing budgets, people, projects and influencing senior stakeholders (product owners, directors, executive directors)
  • Excellent organisational skills, be highly accurate and comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver against KPIs and targets
  • Confidence to communicate your ideas and be able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills and attention to detail

 

You should have (desirable):

  • Experience of balancing the needs of driving revenue from commercial products, whilst operating within a wider membership or Not for Profit environment
  • Experience of marketing both in the UK and across global territories would be beneficial
  • A business/marketing qualification
