Our client based in London is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and implement a marketing strategy and communications plan that builds brand awareness.

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Manager is to manage a team of Communications Officers whilst supporting the Head of Brand and Marketing to develop and deliver marketing plans and campaigns, advising on the most effective channels for delivery and proposing ways of enhancing the Non For-Profit organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, develop, and motivate three Communication Officers, providing challenge and thought leadership.
  • Deliver an on-going Social Media strategy, which will maintain and optimize the Charity’s online presence, enhancing the charity’s profile amongst its target audience
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new marketing initiatives to raise awareness of the Charity and the specialist employment support programmes
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of the Charity’s online presence, including web, social media, and other online channels
  • Ensure that all online content remains up to date, relevant, consistent, and engaging, providing training and guidance to other staff members involved in posting content
  • Own key stakeholder relationships with the Executive Service team and Events team; playing an active role in working groups, representing the marketing and brand team.
  • Contribute to the creation of online and offline content, including written and still/motion graphics.
  • Schedule content on the Charity’s social media channels (currently Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram) using content management software.
  • Collaborate with partners, stakeholders, funders, and employers to ensure all communication opportunities are maximized
  • Elevate the role of the Brand and Marketing team within the Charity. Demonstrating the impact of the Brand and Marketing team through relevant measurement and reporting.

Essential Competencies:

  • Significant marketing experience, including marketing strategy; campaign planning and execution across the full marketing mix.
  • People management and creative leadership, with the ability to identify big ideas that will deliver effective and engaging content and activations across different platforms and to a range of diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day delivery alongside longer timeframe development projects.
  • Proven experience of growing an organisation’s brand and increasing awareness to drive client awareness and client numbers
  • Demonstrable experience of providing sound advice and marketing and communication delivery across an organisation to support business objectives.
  • Proven experience of managing digital projects to enhance online capabilities, across web, social and paid advertising
  • Confident, self-motivated, and proactive with the ability to use initiative and take responsibility for developing and implementing plans.
  • Possess tact, diplomacy and can communicate at all levels both within an organisation and with external agencies and partners.
  • Well organised and collaborative with the ability to priorities, manage a busy workload and multitask.
  • Excellent knowledge of web and digital services development and management, including content generation, SEO, paid-for campaigns, and API.
  • Excellent knowledge of WordPress, social media platforms, design software including Indesign, Photoshop and Canva is essential.
