Marketing Operations Manager

Salary £60000-80000+bonus+benefits (base salary dependant on experience)

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our client, a dynamic and growing Venture Capital firm. The firm is working with a diverse portfolio of companies across B2B and B2C channels

Reporting to the CMO, you will be part of the Marketing team, overseeing the department's daily operations to ensure all marketing activities are executed efficiently and effectively to help ensure that Marketing can operate efficiently as a centre of excellence to support the different portfolio companies. You will need experience in Marketing Operations and/or Marketing Effectiveness, with a track record of designing and implementing new processes to enhance a marketing's team's operations

This role involves managing marketing technologies, data analytics, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize our marketing efforts and achieve our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to streamline marketing workflows, boost collaboration, and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Campaign Execution: Work with the marketing team to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns, including planning, coordination, and performance tracking.
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing the marketing budget, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, product, and other departments to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Marketing Technology Management: Oversee the implementation, integration, and management of marketing technologies (e.g., CRM, marketing automation tools, analytics platforms) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing dashboards and reports. Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for campaign optimization and performance improvement.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations and best practices. Stay updated on marketing trends, tools, and technologies.

Experience required:

  • Experience in Marketing Operations: Proven expertise in marketing operations and/or marketing effectiveness, with a track record of setting up processes and procedures to enhance a marketing team's efficiency (experience can be from in-house or agency side).
  • Versatile Experience: Ideally, experience working in both large organizations and smaller or scale-up firms.
  • Marketing Technology Proficiency: Skilled in various marketing technologies, with the ability to recommend improvements. Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Proficient in data analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
