Job Summary

Our Client is a ground breaking leading business membership community for small and medium sized companies in the UK. They deliver specialist business benefits and services to help promote and grow our member companies. Currently they have 1,800 members across all industry sectors and are looking to double the number of companies joining our community in the next 3 years, offering even more tailored benefits, services, industry insights and business content to our membership.

You will need to build relationships across a wide spectrum of business owners - from construction firms to professional services ones - so your style and approach will need to be flexible depending on your audience.

The Responsibilities of the role:

The Membership Manager plays a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing their member relationships. The primary responsibility is to work closely with both our new and existing members providing exceptional relationship management, fostering loyalty and satisfaction. You will achieve this by learning about the members business, and their day-to-day needs. Building trust will allow you to anticipate their future requirements and identify opportunities to recommend the use of the services we have available.

Convert prospective new member opportunities (obtained by Membership Development Directors) into members signing up to the Business club

  • Identify and generate opportunities from existing members for up selling products and services that will meet with their business needs, collaborating with Membership Development Directors to achieve sales targets.
  • Implement strategies to improve member satisfaction and their retention within the Business club, including regular check-ins and feedback collection, addressing and resolving member concerns or issues quickly and effectively.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for members, facilitating clear and timely communication regarding additional services, updates, and other changes.
  • Keep informed of new products/services/benefits and how they benefit our members
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices, engaging members to interact further with our membership and community
  • Maintain accurate records on members to enable excellent customer outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records of the activity to build the pipeline of opportunities
  • Meet or exceed revenue generation targets

Key experiences and attributes requirement to succeed in this role

  • 3+ years’ experience in client facing roles
  • First class relationship management attributes including excellent communication and interpersonal, and listening and questioning skills.
  • Proven track record of building up selling opportunities and exceeding sales targets
  • An aptitude for fostering positive relationships
  • Proven experience in customer facing roles
  • Taking ownership for outcomes
  • Problem solving mindset working proactively, while using own initiative
  • Team player
  • CRM experience (Salesforceä knowledge is desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with business-owners is desirable
