Our client, a leading player in the travel and hospitality industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced MICE & FIT Sales Manager to join their dynamic team in the heart of Central London.
This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of £40,000 to £45,000, along with the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
As the MICE & FIT Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and maximising revenue through the development and execution of strategic sales plans. Your primary focus will be on securing group bookings for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), as well as FIT (Free Independent Traveller) business. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of success in sales within the travel or hospitality sector. You will be a self-starter with a passion for sales and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. A deep understanding of the MICE and FIT market segments, coupled with extensive knowledge of the London travel landscape, is essential for success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive MICE and FIT business
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through various channels, including networking events, trade shows, and cold calling
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event planners
- Conducting site inspections and familiarisation trips to showcase our client's properties and services
- Negotiating and closing sales contracts, ensuring optimal revenue and profitability
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as marketing, revenue management, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve and identify new opportunities
- Regularly reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasting to senior management
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 + years of proven sales experience within the travel or hospitality industry, with a focus on MICE and OR FIT Luxury segments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Flexibility to travel and attend events as required
