COMMERCIAL TRAINING MANAGER

£50-55K

12 month FTC

Hybrid Role - 3 days per week in London HQ

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Training Manager to lead the training function for this professional membership body. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing a comprehensive training program, developing new training products, and driving the commercial/revenue-generating activities of the training business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of adult learning principles, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record in revenue generation and be able to evidence an understanding of B2C marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs to meet the needs of members and ensure continuous professional development.
  • Product Development: Create and launch new training products, including online courses, workshops, webinars, and certification programs, that align with industry trends and member needs.
  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth through the training function, including pricing, marketing, and sales initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, industry partners, and educational institutions, to ensure the quality and relevance of training programs.
  • Budget Management: Manage the training budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of training programs.
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Develop a network of training professionals to deliver high-quality training experiences for our members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably within a professional membership body or similar organization.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and launching new training products.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing commercial activities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
