Regional Account Manager - London- £35k - £45k + uncapped commission + car allowance + excellent benefits

Our client is a well-established and trusted supplier of Branded Lighting spares, Lamps and LEDs, due to continued growth and expansion we are looking to recruit a Regional Sales Account Manager to cover the London and Southern area of England

Key Responsibilities

Existing Customers

  • Drive forward business by building on the current relationships with customers and aiming to increase their average spend per month.
  • Increase contact with the current customer base both by regular telephone contact and face to face appointments.
  • Identify new areas of growth with current customers such as additional product areas etc.
  • Initial aim to increase spend of regular customers by 10%.
  • Contact lapsed customers who have bought previously and re-establish a relationship with them.
  • Increase the number of active customers.

New Customers

  • Undertake on average 8 visits per week to new customers who have never dealt with us previously.
  • Establish a line of communication and build relationships to encourage potential quotes / orders.
  • Identify new business sectors currently under represented.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent Communication, both with customers and suppliers, within face to face meetings, and over email and telephone
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Managing of own workload to achieve deadlines, working within a fast paced environment
  • Highly IT literate, especially in Excel
  • A minimum of 3 year experience working in a sales role.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a field sales role.
  • Negotiation prowess.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Ability and willingness to work hours as required to complete the task which may include travel and overnight stays at times.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous knowledge of the lighting industry is advantageous however full training will be provided
  • Knowledge and use of CRM system and Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Ability to prioritise heavy workload
  • Ability to lead and motivate the team

Hours - Normally 8.30am - 5pm, Mon - Fri
