This client is an international law firm with offices across three continents and they are growing. They operate in several practice areas including Finance, Shipping, Real Estate and Energy.

They have offices close to Liverpool Street, therefore convenient for commuters. The firm offers and extensive benefits package that includes 25 days holiday entitlement, staff restaurant, subsidised gym membership and good pension.

They are looking for a Revenue Manager to join the firm. The Revenue Manager will be responsible for overseeing revenue management for all the firms’ offices.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the Global Revenue Team with assistance of two Assistant Revenue Managers to include:
  • Training of Accounts staff and running induction sessions for all new Partners and Associates in the London office (or delegating to one of the Assistant Revenue Managers).
  • Overseeing allocation of work within the team to ensure efficiency and assisting training needs.
  • Meeting with Partners and Associates in London to discuss billing related matters, ensuring a consistent approach is always taken.
  • Ensuring all WIP is reviewed and valued, if not billed, by Partners on a monthly basis.
  • Preparing and updating monthly billing forecast and following up on all potential bills.
  • Checking bills and credit notes are processed correctly and are promptly despatched to clients.
  • Management of e-billing including updating of systems and procedures.
  • Working closely with the Credit Control team to ensure Investment Days targets are met (currently 120).
  • Preparation of client fee reports; liaising with Partners and clients.
  • Dealing with ad hoc reporting queries.
  • Updating procedures and monitoring adherence.
  • Review and updating current systems with the Finance Systems Team, ensuring the firm uses the functionality in the system (eg Phases and Tasks) and assisting upgrades where needed.
  • Working closely with the Compliance Department regarding client and matter set-ups, escrows, client groups and third party billings.
  • Reviewing rate agreements, caps and agreed fees and making sure they are correctly entered on to Aderant, including working closely with the Pricing Manager.

Candidate Profile

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams.
  • High levels of accuracy and numeracy and the ability to work to strict deadlines and high workloads.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data, draw conclusions and make recommendations to the business.
  • Knowledge of Aderant preferred including use of most up to date WIP management and billing modules.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel (advanced) and PowerBI.
  • Experience of at least three years in a similar role in an international law firm preferred.
