We are looking for a driven sales executive to join our team to increase our membership and generate revenue for IPSE. If you have a proven track record of business development and sales growth we want to hear from you!

IPSE is the UK’s only membership body solely dedicated to the self-employed. With over 4M self-employed in the UK there are a large pool of prospects for you to get your teeth into.

You’ll be instrumental in driving us towards our key business objective of membership growth but there will also be other opportunities for you to generate revenue for the business, such as setting up new affiliate partners, selling our Incubator programme in bulk, securing event sponsorship and other ad hoc opportunities as they arise.

Role Overview

  • Seek and convert self-employed people into membership.
  • Contribute sales strategies to drive sustainable membership growth
  • Acquire new Affiliated Partners and secure large membership subscriptions
  • Provide comprehensive handovers to the membership team for them to manage the onboarding of new members
  • Collaborate with internal teams and key stakeholders to identify membership opportunities
  • Secure sponsorship for events such as National Freelancers Day and other ad hoc events  

Requirements:

  • A proven experience in business development, sales and relationship management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand our membership products and relay the benefits in a compelling way.
  • The ability to hunt out new prospects and be responsible for converting them into members 
  • Working collaboratively with other colleagues across the organisation
  • Recording all activity within the CRM system 
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager 

Person Specification

  • Highly organised self-starter, motivated, and confident in your approach
  • Effective communicator both verbally and written
  • Pro-active approach and uses own initiative
  • Experience of selling a value based product is desirable but not essential
  • Offered as a 12 month contract initially with a view to it becoming permanent. OTE circa £45-50K

This role is hybrid, we work 1-2 days a week from our office in the city and the rest of the week from home. We are open to considering candidates who are not within commuting distance to London, but you must be based in the UK and have the right to work here.

The option of a 28 hour week is available for consideration with this role.
