We are working with a well-known, leading charity with a huge presence across the UK who are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team.

Due to growth this is a newly-created role working for one of the most well-known charities in the UK, working as a Senior Business Development Manager within their Partnerships function.

As part of the role you will be required to lead and work closely with the team in order to meet KPIs, secure partnerships and sales and drive profits.

The ideal candidate will come from either a not-for-profit background in a similar Business Development / Sales position, or be used to selling products to organisations in the public sector such as education, councils, apprenticeship providers etc.

This role can be based anywhere across the UK with hybrid working an option, with offices up and down the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

- Proactively identify and pursue high value new business opportunities with potential new customers including elearning, training and consultancy contracts

- Respond to business enquiries and make outbound connections (50/50) to build new relationships and close large sales

- Identify and develop partnerships with large-scale professional organisations in order to rech target audiences that are linked to working with children in some capacity

- Oversee the Business Development team, coaching and supporting them to deliver and meet KPIs

- Put together proposals for new clients and business opportunities

- Support the Head of Commercial Strategy to refine and improve the efficiency of the Business Development team

Key Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar organization such as charity, education or not-for-profit, working in a role that requires you to generate income for the organisation

- Sales or Business Development experience is a must

- Confident working both interpedently and as part of a team

- Ability to research and understand key products and offerings of the charity

- Strong relationship-builder

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Able to identify new business opportunities across a variety of sectors
