You will contribute to delivering Commercial, providing a customer-focused service, understanding business needs and stakeholder drivers, becoming a trusted commercial advisor. You will also work closely with colleagues within the commercial function to improve commercial capability and offer & best practice.

Senior Contract Manager

Salary: up to £70,000

Location: 3x London office based locations - 2/3 days in the office

Key Responsibilities

What does your working day look like? Your core duties will include:

  • Ensuring effective Commercial Contract and Supplier Management within the pillar.
  • Strategic contract improvement and category management.
  • Understanding business requirements and delivering positive outcomes through commercial contract management.
  • Building and maintaining key relationships across the company and with important external stakeholders.
  • Performance and day-to-day management of contract manager/sourcing consultant.
  • Deputise for Head of Commercial if required.
  • Working within a secure environment upon sensitive projects as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of developing, delivering, and implementing contract management plans evidencing commercial management and delivery at senior level in complex and high value environments.
  • An understanding of Public Contract Regulations and standard sourcing methodologies coupled with a proven track record and detailed understanding of contract management processes.
  • Evidence of developing effective supplier relationships and the ability to resolve issues in performance or variations in supply without the need for legal or contractual recourse.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a demanding workload whilst balancing both operationally urgent and important tasks to deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience working and effectively influencing senior stakeholders with or without authority projecting personal impact and credibility at all levels.
