osition OverviewThe Ecommerce Trading Manager will oversee the daily operation of the brand's online platform. This key role focuses on driving digital sales, improving site performance, and delivering a smooth customer experience. You'll be responsible for data analysis, creating trading strategies, and collaborating with various teams to align ecommerce efforts with overall business objectives.

Proficiency in Shopify Plus and associated applications is essential for success in this position.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Website Management & Optimization

  • Manage the daily operations of the ecommerce platform, ensuring reliability and smooth functionality.
  • Configure and maintain the Shopify Plus platform, including third-party integrations and custom apps.
  • Collaborate with tech teams to address and resolve website-related issues promptly.
  • Continuously enhance site navigation, speed, and overall performance to elevate the customer experience.

2. Sales Strategy & Commercial Planning

  • Create and implement strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Lead weekly reviews to analyze sales performance, identify trends, and propose actionable plans.
  • Manage promotional activities, sales events, and discount campaigns in line with the brand's objectives.

3. Online Merchandising

  • Ensure all product listings are accurate, engaging, and optimized for search engines.
  • Work closely with creative and marketing teams to maintain a visually consistent and appealing online storefront.
  • Partner with merchandising teams to track inventory and develop strategies for driving sell-through rates.

4. Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze key metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, and customer behaviours to pinpoint areas of improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales trends, customer insights, and campaign outcomes.
  • Conduct competitive research to maintain a strong position in the digital marketplace.

5. Customer-Centric Initiatives

  • Continuously refine the online shopping journey, emphasizing personalization and customer loyalty.
  • Lead efforts to gather and act on customer feedback through reviews and surveys.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure swift and effective resolutions to customer concerns.

6. Team Collaboration

  • Align digital marketing initiatives with ecommerce goals by working closely with marketing teams.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure seamless product launches and availability.
  • Partner with logistics teams to maintain efficient order fulfillment and delivery services.

Profile

Essential:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience managing ecommerce platforms, preferably within the fashion sector.
  • Proven expertise in Shopify Plus and related apps (e.g., Klaviyo, Yotpo).
  • Strong grasp of SEO, digital marketing, and user experience design.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with trends in sustainable fashion and consumer behavior.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and email marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of international ecommerce, including taxes, duties, and logistics.
